Oh my god! Finally someone asked how to enjoy West Lake in summer! As an "old native" who has been "roasted" countless times in Hangzhou, I must share this summer survival guide~
It's now light at 4:30 in the morning, and the sunrise is around 5:00! Only those who get up early can grab the beautiful scenery - personally tested and effective!
4:10 Go out: Take a taxi or ride a bike straight to Gushan to catch the "blues hour" of West Lake! The atmosphere is directly full. Then go to Su Causeway to watch the sunrise. The morning glow in July and August is particularly amazing. The orange-red sky is reflected on the lake. Any photo you take is a blockbuster, and there is no need to edit the photo! The point is: there are so few people at this time that it seems as if they have contracted the entire West Lake~
5:20 Quyuan Fenghe: Seamless connection to see the lotus! The pink lotus flowers are ethereal in the morning light, and you don’t have to worry about tourists getting in the shot when taking photos~
5:50 Breakfast: Find a small shop to fill your stomach and save energy for the morning.
6:20 Go to Lingyin Temple: Set off before the sun "shows its power" (Lingyin Temple opens at 6:30), take bus No. 7 from Yuefen Station. Feel the tranquility in the ancient temple, and rub the coolness of Buddhism~ At this time, there is basically no need to queue, and you can take as many photos as you want of the Lingyin Temple plaque!
9:00 After shopping, retreat: Check in Feilai Peak, Lingyin Temple and Yongfu Temple (Taoguang Temple requires climbing, it is recommended to skip), perfectly avoiding the peak of tourist groups! Take a taxi from Lingyin East Bus Station and leave, watching the crowds behind~
9:30 Go to Turtle Pond to escape the summer heat: Get off at Yuhu Bay and go straight to Turtle Pond! This place is a secret place in summer. It is full of green and super healing. The sound of the stream makes people relax instantly. Moreover, there are far fewer tourists than the lakeside and the Broken Bridge!
10:00 Lunch + Back to Hotel: It's a bit hot. Find a restaurant to sit anywhere (no need to queue). After eating, take some watermelon and mung bean soup and go back to the hotel to avoid the high temperature.
12:00-16:00 Death Four Hours: Don't go out! Lie down in the hotel to browse your phone and catch up on sleep, otherwise you will become a "walking barbecue". Sprinkling cumin can make you cry~
16:30 Eat off-peak: At this time, you can basically get a seat in a restaurant in seconds, without waiting!
17:30 Wait for the sun to "cool down": Find a milk tea shop to blow air conditioning, and wait until the sun is not so toxic before setting off.
1️⃣ Golden Time: 5-10 o'clock and 18-22 o'clock are the best time to play, stay indoors at noon!
2️⃣ Heat protection equipment: sunscreen, parasol, small fan, all are necessary, otherwise you will get sunburned in minutes~
3️⃣ Rest in time: If you feel hot and tired, quickly hide in a shopping mall, teahouse or coffee shop, don't force yourself!
I hope that friends who come to West Lake can avoid the high temperature and leave beautiful memories~ 🌿
