After wandering around Hangzhou for so long, the place that I remember most is not the crowded West Lake, but the Yunqi Bamboo Path - especially on rainy days, the moment you step in, you feel like you are thrown into a green vortex, the moist air wrapped in the fragrance of bamboo hits your face, it is so beautiful that you forget to breathe🌿
Here is the Jianghu spirit in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", and the figures of Li Mubai and Yu Jiaolong seem to be still shuttling through the bamboo forest. Pick a rainy day, walk slowly with an umbrella, listen to the "rustling" sound of rain hitting the bamboo leaves, watch the mist coming out from the bamboo slits, dyeing the pavilions in the distance into ink paintings, at that moment, all the troubles are softened by this green, leaving only peace in your heart.
I walked this route 3 times, and there were new discoveries at every step, remember it👇
「📍Yunqi Bamboo Path Entrance→ Xixin Pavilion→ Wooden Plank Road→ Cable Bridge→ Yuyu Pavilion→ Miyun Pavilion→ Huangzhu Pavilion→ Douyun Pavilion→ Shuangbei Pavilion→ Huilong Pavilion (filming location of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon") → Yunqi Bamboo Path Monument Pavilion → "Lonely Tree"
If you have enough time, you must connect the nearby Shili Langyao and Wuyun Temple: Climb up from the Yunqi Bamboo Path, through the bamboo forest is the tea garden, the afternoon sun shines on the tea ridges, and the tea-picking aunt's straw hat looks like a floating flower; Wuyun Temple is hidden on the top of the mountain, and there is a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree at the entrance of the ancient temple. Watching the raindrops rolling down the golden leaves on rainy days is full of Zen.
Only after visiting Yunqi Bamboo Path did I realize that Hangzhou’s summer is not only about the 40℃ heat wave, but also about the 25℃ coolness in the bamboo forest; Hangzhou’s beauty is not only about the “heavy makeup” of West Lake, but also about the “plain face” of this sea of bamboos - it is not noisy, but it allows everyone who comes in to leave their hearts in the wind, rain, and rustling bamboo leaves.
Next time you come to Hangzhou, don’t just stare at West Lake, take a walk here, and you will understand: the real healing is to turn yourself into a leaf and slowly float in the green sea~ 🌧️
